So I randomly decided to check whether or not my limited skin-making skills have decayed during the period of time I've spent not doing anything with them, and this is the result of my little test. I chose Keiki because I decided to try playing Wily Beast and Weakest Creature (or Touhou 17 if you don't care about the actual names of the games) and thought that her design was a good mix between simple and complex, meaning that it would make a great test. Personally, I feel that some of it turned out really well, and that some of it didn't really work out as intended, mainly due to the limitations one can expect to run into when making a new skin. I should probably stop telling this story that no one wants to hear and start talking about some information about the character now, so I'm gonna do that.



As you already know, this is Keiki Haniyasushin, and she's a god (she's actually a divine spirit, but that's not particularly important so she's basically just a god) who was summoned into the Primate Spirit Garden within the Animal Realm (there's a lot to this, but it all makes sense if you do your research) by human spirits to help them fight against the beast spirits for their freedom. As she's not a big fan of violence, war and fighting, she initially tried to convince the beast spirits to cooperate and work with the human spirits. Predictably, this did not end as planned, and she was forced to turn to some more drastic measures. She then used her creative powers to construct a large haniwa army and used these to battle with the beast spirits. Her plans were eventually ruined when some of the beast spirits left the Animal Realm to search for strong humans who may be able to help them to defeat their new enemy.




One thing that is very interesting about this particular character, however, is that she's actually the only final boss in any Touhou game who isn't evil in one way or another, and if you really think about it, she's also the only one who's probably actually doing the right thing. And that means that you, as whichever player character you choose, are the villain in this game. Sure, her methods probably aren't the best, but in her defence, the beast spirits weren't responding to anything else.
