The most powerful warrior the Mardon Empire had to offer during the Seven Stars War: Holy Eksus, Supreme Commander of all Mardon's Military. Eksus was born so strong that he received the title of "Saint" at age 14, when he killed an entire enemy platoon during a small war Mardon was facing. Eksus strength was so admired he became the symbol of power for Mardon. And he lived up to it. Since his condecoration as Supreme Commander, Eksus never lost a battle. During the Seven Stars War, Eksus was commanded by the King to be the Princess personal bodyguard, since he was concerned about treason in court. For this reason, Eksus never showed on the battlefield until the end of war. The last straw was when General Grizmoth of the Roculon Forces was defeated inside Duchy's territory. After this event, Duchy's Forces started to advance towards Mardon's borders. This infuriated Eksus to the point he disobeyed the King's direct orders, gathered his personal Crimson Holy Knights and headed to the battlefield, where the last act of the war would take place. Eksus first met the Duchy's army in the city of Gwary, that bordered with Mardon's territory. From that day onward, the Duchy's forces knew what a truly strong military unit was like. Eksus won several battles in sequence, driving the Duchy's army more and more away from the empire. Holy Eksus, in the words of bystanders, was said to be "like an angel on earth", with an "unique fighting style". He dominated the battlefield. When news of Eksus feats started to be noted throughout the kingdoms, chaos began to spread through nobility and royalty. Eksus was considered a threat to other realms. Seeing this, the kingdoms started an alliance. Not to save the Duchy, but to save themselves from that rising menace. So, two months after the start of the coalition, the forces of Baurania, Ratenna, Urans and Hennaton joined the battlefield. Seeing himself surrounded, Mardon's Emperor decared surrender. Upon hearing the news, all mardonian forces desperatly retreated to the capital. All of them but one. Holy Eksus and his Crimson Knights refused to leave the battlefield. At the day that later would be known as "When The Five Nations Trembled", Eksus stood in front of the five armies only accompanied by his personal force of 2000. Before the sight of an enemy that overpowered him, he ushered thy words:
"Forces of the five vile nations, that wish to conspire against my divine realm and coward King, I tell you that: in the name of Holy Eksus Gorian Andronne, Supreme Commander of Mardon's Military, Saint of War and Protector of the Kingdom, none of you shall reach the borders of my dear Mardon.".
After that, the Alliance forces rushed towards him. The result: a massacre. Eksus force was exterminated. With him being the last remaining on the battlefield, he still killed fifty men single-handedly, before his inevitable defeat. The war was over at the moment Holy Eksus corpse had hit the ground. At the start of the battle, the nations boasted a force of 80 thousand men. Two hours after, when Eksus lost his life, there were only 30 thousand remaining. With no strength to continue the invasion, and facing a never before seen casualty number, the Coalition forces were forced to retreat in shame. With Holy Eksus and his Crimson Knights sacrifice, the Empire of Mardon was saved from certain extermination. After that, a peace treaty was established, and the Seven Stars region, reason of the war in the first place, remains unconquered til this day. The massacre was so traumatizing to both sides that they, for the first time in history, forgot their differences, and ceased the conflicts. That day was not named a battle name, it became known only as "The Sacrifice".
