Made for Stubbs1's Castle Builder Contest. As always, enjoy!
Made in version 1.14. Screenshots are with default textures and Sildur's Shaders (Vibrant).
For years uncounted there had stood a tall hill - a pinnacle of white stone towering above the landscape. Its sides were so sheer that many suspected that the hill had been placed there by magic, not by nature. Others thought that great architects of long ago had found a hill and carved off its sides to defend a castle or a watchtower that fell to ruins long ago. But whichever story was true, Whitepoint Hill was an impressive sight to behold.
A castle was built on the hill by a small kingdom, and from it the kings and queens rules the surrounding lands. But for reasons now forgotten, that kingdom came to an end. Soon that lost realm was settled by the kingdom of Anderisor, and the castle was found again.
Whitepoint Castle was a very small castle because of its location on the hill, and Anderisor had its own castles for its rulers and nobles. However, a group of mages known as the Order of the Shining Crystal decided that the castle would be a good place to settle. Using their powers, they restored the already crumbling castle to good condition and made it a place of scholarly and magical pursuit.
The sheer sides of the hill made Whitepoint Castle only accessible by two ways: climbing a rope lowered down from above or using a secret entrance created by the mages, which could be opened and closed as needed. In this way, the Order would be safe from any enemies that invaded the kingdom or wanted to steal enchanted items. The mages were friendly to those of the kingdom who meant no harm, and they would often accept visitors into the castle.
The mages continually added to their knowledge and their collection of important books on the subject of enchanting. Eventually, they even began to teach others who aspired to be mages. They used their magic for good and were a great help to the land and people of Anderisor.
