In this short report, we will take a look at the history of the cathedral and go back through the centuries to better understand its construction and the changes that have taken place over the course of time according to the different fashions of each period. From the Ottonian cathedral, we will see the Romanesque modifications, then the arrival of the Gothic style, which will impose itself and allow the construction of the cathedral that we know today.

Si il y a bien une cathédrale hors-norme, ayant bouleversé les techniques de l’époque, écrasant toutes ces adversaires à la course à la hauteur et devenant ainsi le plus haut édifice au monde durant un temps, c’est bien la cathédrale de Strasbourg. Une cathédrale grandiose, située dans une ville comportant une histoire fascinante…
Au cours de ce petit reportage, nous allons nous introduire dans l’histoire de la cathédrale et ainsi remonter les siècles pour mieux comprendre sa construction et les modifications au cours du temps en fonction des différentes modes caractérisant chaque période. De la cathédrale ottonienne, nous verrons les modifications romanes, puis l’arrivée du gothique, qui s'imposera et permettra de construire la cathédrale que nous connaissons aujourd’hui.
