Bonjour! Mon projet avance! Voici l'avancée sur mon projet de reconstruction de la cathédrale de Strasbourg à travers les âges pour mettre en évidence ses évolutions 🙂
Au XIIe siècle, la cathédrale est la proie des flammes et des intempéries. On va débuter un projet de modernisation vers 1177 qui va apporter beaucoup de changements à la cathédrale. Le style roman est maintenu pour la nouvelle coupole octogonale, inspirée par la cathédrale de Worms. Le style gothique fera son apparition sur une partie des murs du transept, construits selon les plans d’un maître anonyme, surnommé le maître du chœur. Ces travaux sont entrepris sous la direction du puissant évêque Henri de Hasenbourg.

In the 12th century, the cathedral is the prey of flames and bad weather. A modernization project will start around 1177 which will bring many changes to the cathedral. The Romanesque style is maintained for the new octagonal dome, inspired by the cathedral of Worms. The Gothic style will appear on part of the walls of the transept, built according to the plans of an anonymous master, nicknamed the master of the choir. This work was undertaken under the direction of the powerful bishop Henry of Hasenburg.
