I'm back after not posting for some time, this time with a historical reconstruction of the Temple of Antoninus and Faustina - this time done in Conquest Reforged!
I originally did this building in Vanilla with a custom Resource Pack on my Forum Romanum Reconstruction, and I decided eventually I'd like to make a version of it using Conquest Reforged. This is the first building I've converted so far. I must say while I do like Conquest Reforged quite a lot, I tend to prefer the more "vanilla" style. However, there's no harm in using both as I've demonstrated!
This particular reconstruction (like many of my reconstructions) is almost 1:1 Scale though not quite, as I tend to lean towards getting the building to actually look proportionate and aesthetically pleasing rather than constraining myself to the exact proportions. Oh, and I also haven't done the interior yet. :P
Construction of the temple started in 141 AD under Emperor Antoninus Pius, initially dedicated to his deceased and deified wife, Faustina the Elder. When Antoninus Pius was deified after his death in 161 AD, the temple was re-dedicated jointly to Antoninus and Faustina at the instigation of his successor, Marcus Aurelius.
