Tale of the Sun Sword is an adventure unlike any other in Minecraft.
Boasting a rich world full of lore, dark secrets, weapons of great power
and vicious monsters.

Gather your friends and set out on a journey to free the land from the CRIMSON LORD
before it's too late. Will you survive the onslaught as you explore Sloc Gorm,
or will the CRIMSON LORD take you and make you his own?

Gameplay Mechanics

*One among you is designated as a Leader.
All is lost if the Leader is held captive for too long and their Will Power destroyed.

*Find powerful magic canes to blast your foes with light, rain fire and
brimstone down, or consume your enemies with their own shadows.

*Discover other artifacts and the mysterious powers of the
Light Force that dwells within all things.

*Face dire stakes! If your party is wiped out, it's GAME OVER!

*Allies fall unconscious when defeated in battle! Hurry and revive
them before they are captured by the enemy!
Captured allies are dumped into one of 208 holding cells in the
castle's dungeons. Click the sign outside a cell to rescue whoever
is inside.
If the leader is captured, you will instead have to make your way to the
3rd floor and fight the STEEL GUARDIANS to rescue them before it's too late.

*The CRIMSON LORD is actively hunting you down.
Stay together and don't go anywhere too dangerous if you
value your lives.

*Game difficulty scales with player count:
1-2 Players: "Solo/Duo" Difficulty - Easy, 2 Plumes of Dusk
3-6 Players: "Party" Difficulty - Normal, 1 Plume of Dusk
7+ Players: "Raid" Difficulty - Hard, 0 Plumes of Dusk

*Plumes of Dusk are mysterious and mystical feather-shaped crystals
fallen from the goddess of Night. If the leader has one, it will fully revive your
entire team and give them a burst of Light Force to prevent a wipe or the
leader's capture. Plumes of Dusk may be purchase in Castle Watch Town for
500 G.

DISCLAIMER:
This adventure map demands a great deal of competence and co-operation
from its players.
If you do not wish to die, then stick together and only go to the castle when
everyone is ready or in DIRE emergencies.
This map is not afraid to ruthlessly punish players for
taking reckless actions or otherwise endangering the party.

Additionally, GAME OVER means a COMPLETE AND
TOTAL LOSS OF ALL PROGRESS IN THE MAP.

Map contains references to alcohol and/or alcoholic beverages.
Map contains some dark and/or "edgy" material, but is otherwise
appropriate for most audiences.

This is the DEMO release of Tale of the Sun Sword.
Many locations around the map are incomplete, but the main
gameplay and mechanics are mostly finished and functional.
Feel free to explore what of the world there is and challenge yourself
to become strong enough to take on CASTLE CRIMSON DRAIN,

+New location: Cerulean Mire (East of Castle Watch Town)
+New dungeon, complete with an actually threatening boss or two (Cerulean Mire)
+New shop that sells 6 completely new beverages (Cerulean Mire)
+Sub Space Junction (Silver Mountain)
+NPCs that you can inquire for information about the world.
+Area behind the temple in Castle Watch Town with lore and a weapon shop.
*Several bug fixes and balance changes, including the removal of a Castle Crimson Drain softlock glitch involving returning to the castle from the Carousel fight with the shard contained in a bag.

+Subspace Junction is now also linked too the Cerulean Mire, allowing quick transport between there and the Silver Mountain.
+Subspace Junction now showcases Coat of the Fey Bunny and Dark Shard.
*Snow Shard and Dark Shard now only check your dungeon completion status instead of selling a copy of the respective shard.
*Silver Mountain minor landscape tweaks.
*Frozen entities now actually appear as though they are trapped in a hunk of ice (visual effect).
*Wand of Sparking now correctly casts Sparkle at 8+ Light Force instead of at 10+ Light Force
*Low Willpower message now correctly displays which Tier 3 spell you were trying to cast instead of assuming the spell was Luminare.

This map is great! I played with some friends and we had a blast! Can't wait for the full release!

One problem though, it was really hard finding the other shops like ice and fire shops, can there be some way to find them easier? Thanks in advance!

Yes, next demo will have the NPCs actually present in some/all of the currently existing shops (not including placeholders/duplicates of Castle Watch).

In my current dev build you can ask the Inn Keeper for directions to the nearby major areas and the town smith will tell you the general directions to go for the Fire and Ice shops.

I might also have more books done to fill the currently existing libraries.

contemplating if I want to have the Cerulean Mire's dungeon in a future demo - though I won't be releasing anything more once I start on the northern half of the map until the map is complete.

Your map is so good but I think it is too hard to locate places and can't find way to go at first, so I think you should give a map at the starting point.

While I want to avoid giving map items to the players for a multitude of reasons (not least being the scale of the explorable world), I do have some ideas in mind I've been thinking of implementing for directing the players to different locations.

This world is one I want the players to spend a lot of time interacting with, and giving people a map possibly telling them where their next objective is doesn't facilitate that too well, so instead I want to opt for leaving hints in various locations - notably libraries - that could help people along the way.

I'll probably also want to do some kind of NPC dialogue thing at the various vendors that could also help point players in the right direction. This would follow more as the NPCs can tell you where someplace is and maybe give a vague description of that place while books at libraries can give you better details on locations but have little to no reference on where those places are.
