Created for DarkEnchanter02's Sculk Jam (April 13 -- June 13, 2026)
I have been tinkering with Calibrated Sculk Sensors and their applications in 'wireless' redstone for a little while now. This map is a small showcase of some features of the sculk sensors that I find particularly intriguing. The map is also a conceptual study of the Ancient City and how portions of this structure can be adapted to create a more functional city layout. The overall aesthetic struck me as sort of cyberpunk, hence, "sculkpunk."
When you load the world, you will spawn inside the cross-dimensional railway station. I noticed that the distance from the 'ears' of the Warden statue/portal to the center of its own mouth is nearly exactly 16 blocks, the same maximum range for the calibrated sculk sensor. So, the railway is set up with a loose template of sculk sensors and amethyst to take advantage of these proportions, although I left the implementation/installation here ultimately empty/'customizable.'
When you exit the railway station, you will see a road of lava. Striders meander up and down the lane. The civil engineers of this city have elected for a cross-dimensional ecological solution to transportation: simply hail a Strider as if hailing a taxi, aim some warped fungus directly down the street, and off you go! Direct the Strider out of the lava lane, and it naturally slows down to a safe speed as it suffers more of the ambient air.
If you happen to make accidental contact with the lava, simply activate a water spigot near any sewer grate for an emergency rinse.
From across the street you see the redstone lamp billboard flickering in rhythm with the chirping and croaking of the sculk. The language inscribed there in light is inscrutable to you, but you imagine it brands the railway and, perhaps, advertises fare amounts or arrival and departure times.
Done for the day? Enter the sculkpunk apartments, each a marvel of ancient technology and illager chemistry. Sound the bells to release the 'suspension elixir,' which will convert your physical form into a sort of gaseous mist, easily stored within the apartment towers. You will be semi-conscious but will not hunger nor thirst, your injuries shall be healed, and you will be impervious to harm, for the duration.

Have something to say?
The apartments are fitted with dispensers filled with custom potions (command-only). The dispensers are linked to a calibrated sculk sensor filtered to accept a frequency of 11 (block changes, including... bells ringing).
