Herculaneum was a bustling sea port town on the Bay of Naples during the Roman Empire. On August 24, AD 79, the eruption of Mt Vesuvius destroyed the town, along with sister city Pompeii, burying both towns under many meters of ash.
Here is my recreation of the real town of Herculaneum, using the real-life ruins.
