Backstory:

When the three explorers returned, the villagers demanded to hear a description of what they had seen in the Nether. The explorers obliged, telling the villagers about many strange and interesting things from the new dimension. They talked about types of rock they had never seen before and a material for tools and weapons even stronger than diamonds. They had seen huge supplies of lava, even entire oceans of it. They told of unusual plants, fungi and soils. They described the piglins, and the new animals they had discovered. They mentioned huge fossils and fortresses built by the Nether’s inhabitants.

Then the adventurers began telling about what they did in the new dimension. While they were just exploring they used temporary camps for sleeping. But later on, they decided to build a permanent base. They had befriended a few of the native inhabitants, and together they built a base to be suitable for all of them, trading resources and sharing their knowledge. The human explorers lived in the basement, the piglins used the upper story, and the zombified piglins took the ground floor. They continued to trade with each other and each used his best skills. The piglins set up a successful mine, the zombified piglins used furnaces for smelting, and the humans crafted and forged. They killed mobs such as ghasts for protection, sport, and resources. Eventually they even farmed mushrooms, nether wart, and hoglins.

Eventually the explorers decided to return to the overworld. They were not confident of the location of their portal, so they needed to do some exploring to find it. Eventually they did find it and, after saying goodbye to their friends at the base, returned to their own dimension. They found their village much like it had been, but it seemed to have aged surprisingly compared to the amount of time they had been in the Nether. Intrigued, some of the villagers wanted to see these things for themselves, while others feared the danger and avoided it. The explorers wished to return one day, but for now they would stay in their home world enjoying the things they had missed while they were gone.
