Castle located in Kimitsu, in the south of Chiba prefecture in Japan.
Originally, it was a mountain fortification built by Takeda Nobunaga in 1456
during the Muromachi period and ruled by his descendants, the Mariya clan, from 1540.
Subsequently, the Satomi, Go- Hōjō, Ōsuga, Tsuchiya and Kuroda clans occupied the castle.
The original keep was destroyed in 1872 by order of the Meiji government.
The current tenshu and a reconstruction dating from 1979.
