Taking my industrial-gothic-something-style to a whole new level, I rather proudly present to you my version of the Kiln of the First Flame, greatly inspired by all things Dark Souls 3. The Grand Hall is supposed to be the spiritual sanctuary of a big industrial city, the main source of energy for its inhabitants. Who knows what happens underneath the grand pedestal with its giant chimneys protruding into the sky?
The Main Hall is roughly six months old, I decided to finally finish the pedestal, the mosaics and the interior about a week ago. As always, everything is far beyond reasonable, blown up to gigantic proportions:
Grand Pedestal:
Hight: 9,5 Blocks
Diameter: 229 Blocks
Main Hall:
Length:163 Blocks
Width: 51 Blocks
Hight inside: 38, 54, 78, 114 Blocks
Hight outside: 146 Blocks
Chimneys:
Hight: 98 Blocks
Mosaics:
Diameter: 15, 29, 41 Blocks
Every roof, every gallery and every triforium is accessible through staircases in each of the 16 towers. I decided to add some pipes to the chimneys as well as smoke coming out from the top to give it an even more industrial feel. To represent a flame, I chose to increase the hight of every bay, include huge stained glass windows lighted from the bottom, peaked roofs on each of the towers as well as highly detailed gables on top of each window to direct the view upward.
Personally I am very proud and happy with how this project turned out. I hope you like it as well, maybe get some inspiration from it also.
Thank you all so much for the love and kind words since I joined a few years ago, it's been a pleasure creating for y'all! Stay tuned, there's a lot more coming your way!
