I created this temple in the Kath Kuni style, a vernacular architecture style from Himachal Pradesh, India. I love this style, and I think it's really underrated and overlooked. It's very unique, and well adapted to the conditions of mountainous Himachal Pradesh. Buildings in this style are naturally resistant to earthquakes and well insulated from the cold. Temples in this style are also unique compared to other Indian styles, incorporating high towers, complex roof lines, intricate wood carvings and wooden wind-chimes dangling from the eaves. I did my best to capture it in minecraft.
I loved both the large and small examples of temples in this style, so I included both in my build, as well as 2 different types of gates. The interiors are pretty barren because I unfortunately couldn't find many sources on what these temples' interiors are like.
My ultimate goal is to build and post a Hindu temple in every existing style, and so far I've posted about 5.5 (one is incomplete) out of 10 styles, including this one.
If you want to feature this build in a video or something just send me a message on PMC. Sadly my computer isn't powerful enough to handle making videos of my builds.
Enjoy! :D
