Hello there ^^



In a dull moment after building a mini Platform 9 3/4 at coordinates 9340 ~ 9340, I found it to be a great idea to start building Hogwarts in its whole complexity... So, I asked a friend, who's a way bigger Harry Potter fan than I am (I just always liked the buildings / location's set-ups) if he would be up to it... and so it started ^^



The whole thing was built in creative mode, and we also had to do the landscaping - there were no rocks at all, and we did it by hand, no editors, only fill / replace and single blocks. It took hours and hours if not days of research to find enough pictures or movie scenes to get information, then counting pixels to get the dimensions right etc. A great part inside has been filled with picture produced by our fantasy, because there is just no evidence of what there might be, but we placed all the locations and rooms in it we could find and tried to even be accurate about the exact spots.



I have so many screenshots which I cannot upload here due to the sheer amount of them, of all the gimmicks, chambers, hallways and everything else we build (from secret ways to movie twirks). Best I can do is to say, you can watch a 5 hour walkthrough on youtube if you'd like to see almost everything of it. :) It's in German, but you will get it. If you feel it's too long, you also can just skip through it ^^



I hope you like the build, since we put all our heart in it and are so proud to have made it. Next up there will be the London parts, like the Platform and The Diagon Alley, as well as The Burrow and more :)



Do not wonder about the rough edgings of the map... we started in an experimental version of 1.18 and tricked it into transitioning ^^

The texture pack is BDCraftVanilla, but slightly changed by me in some parts.
