Enenji is a Soto school Zen Buddhist temple located in Fukagawa, Fukagawa Ward, Koto, Tokyo, Japan.
It is a historic edo period building originating from the year 1633 with a distinctive copper clad roof, it is one of two great temples in the Fukagawa area, the other being the Hojo Temple. however not of the fukagawa ward, which has many more important temples than two. the Major temple of the ward is the Fudo-Do located in Tomioka.
In its courtyard is a large pine tree, and on the left side of it are other buildings which belong to the temple complex.
After destruction/damage in the second world war it was rebuilt, and recently renovated to get back its original Edo period appearance.
It is located near the Sendai Horikawa river canal. Near to it also is the Zorinji Temple, aswell as the Shokakuji Temple.
