We were getting ready to go on the Carnival Magic Cruise ship, so My kids and I started building a full size version of it! Good way for them to learn the layout! 2 years later I finally decided to dig in and finish it…. We had seen some other builds but had trouble downloading them or they were Java, and we were just doing it all on our iPhones…. It has all the cabins and areas in place according to the deck plans. This is one of their Dream class ships, so i believe there are 2 other ships that are basically the exact same if your looking for one of those.
This thing is huge! Way bigger project than we anticipated... We built it to their online deck plans, and decorated it somewhat off of pictures, but mostly just off what looked cool and made it fun. We found some layout differences when we were in the ship, but it’s close enough, lol. The cabins aren’t all numbered (there’s just too many), but they are all there in the right places and the ones closest to the elevators are numbered, so with a little work you can find your cabin.
We just went with what looks good for carpet colors and decor. We tried to throw some fun aspects in… the ropes course has a surprise if you make it through it ( it’s actually really hard, but doable; and move around a little when pushing the button at the end to ensure it activates). There are NPCs, and fun villagers running all over to give it a better feel, Thanks to furnicraft for the fun furniture, items, and villagers. It also has a functional arcade and slot machines thanks to arcadecraft. We tried to come up with a way to make all the elevators functional, so check those out. Hot tubs bubble, and the water slides and dump bucket also work for the most part.
I added a book with a scavenger hunt of things to do around the ship, so you can use this to help make exploring the ship fun and have a goals to complete, making it more of a game…
Hopefully others can enjoy exploring the ship and learning the layout. This thing was tons of work, but we’re pretty happy with the final product. Please comment and let us know what you think and Share your experience on youtube. Enjoy!!
