It's late. I'm tired. I'm sorry it's been so long for an upload. I haven't built that much recently, and the few things I make are of poor quality that's not worth sharing. Except this one. I've been building this map on and off for about 3 months. I want to share this with you guys, and I hope you enjoy it.



I built Calvin's Refuge as a spinoff of Sawyer's Refuge, a map I made using WorldPainter. This map was a labor of love. A lot of fixing, tweaking, revising, embellishing, simplifying, was involved. This is my final product. Sorry I don't have any shaders on to embellish the cover photos, but my computer can't handle that right now. I may update this in the future, but probably not. I don't like going back on previous projects. Now then, let's talk about the map a little bit.

Calvin's Refuge - Lore

This is Calvin Hastara's farmstead. It was handed down to him by his father, Sawyer Hastara, who founded Sawyer's Island. Since his father's death, Calvin has been quietly farming the fertile soil and selling his produce thoughout the Golden Isle.

Calvin is the only one on the island. Or so he thinks. Myths float throughout the Golden Isle that supernatural beasts wander the forests. Calvin is not one for superstitions, and isnt bothered by these rumors... Much to his demise.

The beast is mysterious. It can never be seen in broad daylight, and Islanders joke that it will only reveal itself seconds before your death, where the beast thoroughly enjoys tearing your limbs off until your demise.

The beast preys on the weak. It has the ability of dream projection, and greatly enjoys tormenting its victims through nightmares and visions before it kills its prey. The beast also leaves mysterious messages, further tormenting them.

Not only is the beast able to project dreams, it can shapeshift. The beast often takes the shape of humans to easily follow its prey until it is ready to strike.

Of course, this is all myth...
