Many times, people build these really big mansions and give them so much detail that it can be quite an eyesore sometimes. But what happens when you take shipping boxes and turn them into houses? That, my friends, is what I present to you in this contest entry!
When you think about it, so many people focus on the big and overly detailed builds for contests. However, I went casual and brought to you a design I find most interesting. You see these new modern houses being built in odd shapes, but have you ever thought of turning boxes meant for shipping into a house? That's what you see here. Sure, it may not be a gigantic build with tons of detail. But if you take the time to really think about how great simplicity can be, a lot of wonderful things can come out of it.
The interior is what was challenging. In Minecraft, it's hard to go modern without using a texture pack, unless you're really skilled in building and interior design. Which, I'm not so good at that sort of thing when it comes to modern builds. This is probably my first "modern" build I've done without needing guidance, or anything like that. I'm used to building in the medieval style, and not caring so much about the modern world. So, this was a challenge for myself, but I did have fun building it!
I wish everyone the best of luck in this contest. And to have fun; however, please stay true to your talents, yet do go beyond and take new risks! I believe I'm going to attempt more modern builds like this, and see what else I can come up with in the future. Don't look only at the detailing, but take into consideration the effort I put into it. A unique house design, for a unique world we are living in.
Minecraft doesn't just have to be full of plain modern, or drastic Medieval builds. You can be creative, and go beyond your wildest imagination(s). Even if people may not think it looks good, all that matters is that you tried your best and whether you think it looks good or not. Because it came from your imagination, and your creativity.
So that's all I have for today, folks! I hope to see you around, next time!

I think I've mentioned this in the description information thingy, but this was actually my first attempt at anything 'modern' that wasn't followed off a tutorial. I just kinda started with one and worked my way up, just to see what I could come up with.
But yeah, thank you so much for checking it out. :D
