My entry for the 2020 Nether Builds contest
Reccomended Settings
Brightness - - - - - - Bright
FOV- - - - - - - - - - - - 75 - Quake Pro (I Play on 90-100)
Render Distance - 13-15
Info
I was originally going to just have hands and vines sticking through the earth but ended up trying to test my limits on what i could do and went for the whole monster theme, i have included a bit of story along with it to give it a bit of feeling.
I like working within giant spheres because it gives an easier sense of space, so instead of trying to find more random things to put around that may obstruct the build, i can focus more on just getting the build itself done, plus i love the whole energy core going through the centre thing
This was only done by me so it may not be as grandiose as team builds but i won't go down easy just cause of that xD
Built on about 20 and under fps on 4-8 render distance except for screens, whew XD
Story
7520 AD
As the minecraftians make their way to their new homes within the barren land called the nether, they are interrupted by a new speciaes they have never encountered before, could this be the very existence that keeps the nether in constant dismay?
whatever they are, they came quick to inhale the core energy they had saved up for sustanence and are dispersing pollution and disease as a by-product, the fight has been long and hard but it seems we know who the true rulers of this hellish realm are.
We have no name for them, we only know they can seep through the walls or break them just as easily, their roar sounds like death itself, they have long tail-like appendages which seem to replace their feet, they only hurt us when we tried to stop them so it seems they don't eat minecraftians, they only want the energy.
could it be possible to have a chat with these monsters when they've had their fill? they don't seem to care what we do as long as we don't get in their way so maybe we can reach a conclusion that ends in a deal. the loss of energy isn't too great, we can produce more and share if it means keeping them at bay, maybe we could even get them to halp guard the place, they sure do a good job destroying it after all.
If anyone finds this note, don't attack, it will surely be your demise, heed my words and try for a better way
