Hey everyone! The Pseudo Elephant team recently added a new feature to a snapshot of World Edit in order to facilitate the creation of a Data Pack which constructs structures in an animated style which can be used in vanilla Minecraft! Download links are provided later in this post.
Please note the uploaded images do not make justice to this tool, I highly recommend watching the following video:
Here is the demonstration video:
Video
Tool Functionality and Explanation:
- Added new option for //schematic command called "vanillafy"
- Converts a World Edit Schematic into a Data Pack which places the structure either by layers or randomly, given a number of iterations and a time difference between them.
- The generated data pack can be found in the schematics folder inside config<worldedit<schematics
- Once the data pack is loaded on your world you can generate the structure by calling:
/function filename:hologram/filename/filename_init where filename is the name of the world edit shematic
Command Syntax
//schematic vanillafy <filename> [time] [deltaTime] [-r]
<filename> - File name of the .schem file
[time] - Number of iterations in the building process (how many times you want it to separately place blocks)
[deltaTime] - number of Minecraft ticks between each iteration
[-r] - If you include this the structure will generate randomly, otherwise it will build layer by layer
