Hello everyone!
We're a few college students trying to make an adventure map and we're making a custom mod to go with it. We decided, in order to help improve the mod through feedback and other possible avenues, to release subchunks of our mod.
Today we bring to you the beginnings of the archery content of our mod. We are setting up our Java classes and were able to create a few custom weapons and things.

Baubles is an incredible mod created by Azanor13.
WARNING: Minecraft will crash without this file in your mods folder!!!
Current Content:
- Recurve Bow: A bow with slightly longer drawback but a little more punch.
- Crossbows: A bow that can be pulled back and shot at anytime.
- Accuracy: A new effect that adds arrow damage like the strength effect. (Damage boost = Effect Level * 3) The potion can be made using an Eye of Ender on an Awkward Potion, just like any other potion is made.
- Leather Armor: To make leather armor useful, we decided to make it our first archer armor set. Every piece worn will add +1 damage to your arrows.
- Focus Sight: Inspired from RS3, this piece of headgear will increase your arrow damage by 50% when worn.
- Guardian Spike Necklace: A necklace crafted from the spike of a guardian. New item: Guardian Spike dropped from guardians and elder guardians. Gives a +1 damage boost to archery when worn.
- Iron Reinforced Bow: So this is just a normal bow but with a damage boost. This is basically the first bow I made post bow class tweak. I will now be able to easily make bows with different tiers. (Like the swords are wood, stone, etc.)
- (Update) New Potion Effects And Potions: There are two new potion effects: Antidote & Blessed. Antidote and Blessed give resistance to poison and wither, respectively, and require beetroot seeds & an emerald, respectively. The new Agility potion gives a speed boost while also giving a jump boost. Use a golden rabbit foot to brew these. Added a new haste potion using a Golden Feather.
- New Totems: There is a new totem called the "Totem of Poison". While holding this item in your hand or offhand, you will be granted antidote indefinitely. Should we add other potion effect totems, and if so, which ones?
- Throwable Weapons (WIP): Currently working on creating new projectiles for new arrow tiers and weapon types. Currently added is a throwable rock, however, it does not render while in the there.

- Throwing Knives
- Blowpipes and Darts
- Obviously more bows, crossbows, armors, etc...
- Custom Enchantments
- More Baubles Jewelry
- Crops
- Any other ideas

Hello everyone!
I'm currently working on creating new projectiles for new arrow tiers and weapon types. Currently added is a throwable rock, however, it does not render while in the there. Once we can get thrown entities to render, we will be able to create new arrows types, weapon categories, etc. If anyone knows a possible tutorial or place to find out how to do this, it would be greatly appreciated!
I also added a purpose for the golden feathers as a new haste potion!
Also, while we have been working on creating new things for the mod, would y'all like us to go ahead and fill in some bow/crossbow tiers and things? This would slow us down a little bit, but whatever y'all would prefer! If so, please recommend the kind of bows y'all would like to see.

how about adding blowguns with blow darts
For our next submission, should we upload a melee component of our mod, or just expand this one with more bows?
