Ever needed some of those precious minerals but just despise slowly chipping away at that wall, hoping for some diamonds to make your work worth it? Do you hate walking down that annoying staircase, hitting your head on every other block, all the way from ground level to Y-12? Hate making stone pick after stone pick, spending weeks in your mine, just waiting for SOMETHING useful?

Well, say goodbye to all that with the Advanced Mining mod!

This mod adds three all-new features that will make your time in the mines enjoyable and satisfying: gems, bridge-builders, and the star of this mod, Mining Drills!

Gems are found underground. They come in Redstone and Diamond forms, dropping their respective ores when mined! These can also be in regular and large forms, the latter of which dropping extra ores! They give off a little bit of light too, so watch out for that little glimmer in the distance!

Bridge builders are an extremely useful tool! When placed, they shoot across gaps, ravines, and lava pits, building a simple bridge as they go! They'll keep building and building until they hit an obstacle, leaving you one happy miner!

And last, but certainly not least, the Mining Drill. This heavy-duty drill starts mining in the direction it's programmed to go the instant it's placed. It won't stop until it hits bedrock or other immovable objects. You likely won't be able to keep up with it and eventually lose it, but it's well worth it, because it stops to nearly nothing and leaves every block of stone and every ore and gem mined behind for you to pick up. No mining required!

Well, what are you waiting for? Get that pick, grab some iron and redstone, and look forward to a lifetime of resources from there on!

♦ How to install ♦

First, get yourself to Forge's website here



Next, press the orange button that says "Show all versions."



Now, a really long list of Forge versions should appear. Each and every version is different from each other in a tiny way, but the wrong one makes all the difference. Don't worry though, because all you have to do is a bit of scrolling.




Each version has a slightly different number at the end of it's name, you're going to want to keep an eye on these numbers. Scroll down the list and find the version with the number 2768 at the end of it's name and click the link that says "Installer.'


After an ad, click the "Skip" button at the top right corner and your installer should start downloading.

After that's finished downloading, find the file and open it. A window should open after a bit.



Make sure the client box is checked, and click install.



Congratulations, you're now ready to start mining!

This mod is actually an old project I made back when I was new to modding, so it has it's irregularities and strange bits. It's a tad overpowered but it's a past work of mine and thought it would be cool to bring it back from the dead! If you really want it to be remastered though, I'll for sure consider it! I'd love to remake an old project of mine, as most of the work is already completed. Just a few tweaks here and there, better textures, new features, the works, and it'll be a full mod!

Warning: this mod is not compatible with other mining mods. If a mining drill mines an unrecognizable ore or block, it will be lost. Be sure to keep that in mind when using other mods; the drill is faster but you may lose resources in the process!
