NB: In dire need of a mod review for 1.0.1!
Some stuff that i've always wanted to add to minecraft, mostly related to dungeon loot and exploration. Currently in pretty early development, thus not that much stuff yet. For more information on the mod check the wiki on the github page here. The open source code is also found on github.
Adds magical potions with unknown effects, and super cool swords with magical abilities. Loads more is planned, like for example magical armor and baubles. The theme is adventure, fantasy and dungeons and such. At the same time all features are supposed to fit nicely with the theme of vanilla minecraft. This mod is in no way an overhaul, but simply adds more stuff that i feel should be in vanilla, and also follows the fantasy-ish theme i've chosen for it. The different stuff can be found as dungeon loot.

I wish i had no reason to write this, but sadly, some people just have a lack of morals and do not care if they steal other's work and take the honour and money for them. This is to give those a reason to not steal my mod, and i'm sorry if these rules limit you in any way that prevent you from doing something awesome (in that case you can ask me, but do take a no for a no if that's the response you get from me).
this mod is considered a derivative work, and is based on Minecraft(Mojang owns the IP for this). Mojang has full control over this. follow their copyright terms as well, ok?

*fixed potion textures
*fixed the special ability of the adventure sword
+two new client side config options:
•choose between four different coloring functions for the mystery potions
•to prevent colors that are too similar, you can set how similar they can be when randomly generated (has no effect on coloring functions 0 and 1)
+added a way for letting the client choose the clientside options, while using the server's server side options in multiplayer. (the clientside ones usually only affect the looks of things, while the server side ones affect behaviour) (still kind of buggy, but shouldn't be a big deal)
+localization for the two swords
*fixed server crash when drinking potions'
*rewrote the sword slash functionality entirely (it's working a lot better now)
*a few adjustments
*fixed potion textures

Edit: Also, as it's an adventure mod with loot, some spawned in dungeons/ruins/run-down cities/towns would be a nice implementation as well.
The two already added are awesome! But I think more could be added.
There was a mod that I've forgotten now...but it was discontinued but had some good mobs like haunted books and items and also traveling villagers... They may be a good addition to this mod.
Maybe when you find some items, their power set could be locked or unidentified and when you put it on, it could be haunted and lock onto your player, taking away life or something...

Also, if you need any 3D models, I'm trying to get better...but with no imagination or ideas, I can never come up with ideas for my own projects...so it would help my work and maybe the mod if I could make some 3D models...even if you don't use them, the ideas are nice enough c:
