As I understand it, the judges are supposed to disregard the renders during the judging process. That's what I've been told in the past. People just do it for the diamonds.

Concordantly, I believe the finalists are selected mainly based on diamond/favorite output. Not sure on that one, but it could explain why projects with renders are more likely to end up in the finalist pool.

Probably going through the extra trouble of running people over in LA Noire. You see, the pedestrian AI in that game basically gives everybody ninja reflexes, but I'm not having that. I WILL commit vehicular manslaughter, and there is NOTHING Team Bondi can do to stop me.

I think both have their ups and downs. As a person who grew up playing Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon, and Paper Mario on consoles, I have to say that I have greater feelings of nostalgia for old school console games than I do for old school PC games. So, for me personally, I say console; but I can see why people love PC gaming. It's superior in terms of performance and modding, after all. Minecraft, for example, is a far better experience on the computer than it is on console.

I like pretty much everything in this update, and I feel like Minecraft is being pushed in the correct direction. For the villagers, specifically, I'm 100% on board. The old villagers didn't even look human, and the sounds they made were infinitely annoying.

Personally, I think it's the stuff of nightmares. Seriously, it's like something out of Eraserhead. I was stunned when I saw it during the Super Bowl. My dad laughed and said something along the lines of 'who was the demented sicko that wrote that crap?!?'.

You're right, that was poorly worded. What I meant to say was that hereditary and environmental factors are not the lead causes of cancer. They can be attributed to around 33% of all cancer cases, though you're far more likely to get it due to a random genetic mutation.

I always take announcements like this with a grain of salt. Virtually anything can cause cancer. Oxygen causes cancer. That doesn't mean we should all stop breathing.

The truth is that around 66% of all cases of cancer are caused by random genetic mutations caused by normal cell replication. Cancer is, at least largely, caused by bad luck, not family genetics and not environmental factors. The greatest cause of cancer is simply living. The longer you live, the greater the odds that you'll acquire a random mutation to one of your cancer-prevention genes (like p53). Meat is no more dangerous than breathing in my book.
