Hey you guys! I'm here with a possible commission idea that's been brewing in my head for a minute (⁠◠⁠‿⁠・⁠)⁠—⁠☆

Since I'm a minor there's no stable way to fully set up a PayPal, Kofi or other online money exchanging service due to the fact I lack a credit card to put the information into. So instead of doing those forms of exchangements I've thought of two other ways that I can accept monetary payments for my art however 😈

1) I create the art and depending on the amount it would normally pay to do said art, it could be payed through gifting pay-for items on Genshins in-game shop mostly because 😨😨 boy do I need some primos

2) basically the same thing except with forms of Discord Nitro, however this option would be fairly limited because of I already have the highest form of Discord Nitro then I wouldn't need this form of commission for a WHILE

These are the two ideas I've been batting around though I most definitely will have to do some more research especially for those who don't play genshin/don't have a hoyoverse account to gift me items. Most likely I'll have to use Codashop for those exchanges but like I said there is definitely research to be done 😓 (Mostly due to the problem Codashop requires zip codes)

Any recommendations from people who've done stuff like this before is more than welcome from me!!! I may make a discord server as well if anyone is interested and thank you for reading!!

now that you mention it amazon gift cards might very well be my best option,, ty so much for the advice honestly it means a lot since I'm very new to this

Digital Steam, Xbox, or especially Amazon gift cards are normally the go to alterative outside of a direct payment. Idk if you can then buy genshin currency or what you're looking for from any of those outside of the game.

Overall trying to keep the payment method as generic as possible is probably the best. People can be very skittish with commissions/money in general so the less hoops they have to jump through and work with something that they're unfamiliar with the better.
But yes PayPal as a minor is a pain 🙏 I have it set up as getting the payment into paypal > sending it to my parents card > and then having them sending it back to my debit card. Very efficient :P

if u play other pc games, I know quite few people that take steam credit as comm payment! most gamers have steam i believe, so the only real con would be like...you have to have someone as a a steam friend for at least 3 days to be able to send them any gifts

Nope, just our machines computer is pretty buggy, and we never really need this feature, and we rip our own special widths from pre cut rough lumber for further production into finished material on other machines (our actual lumber isn't for sale, just our finished product that we make out of it lol.
