I plan on doing the map solo, and I won't be needing any mods for the map, since I've been experimenting with cars using models and entity tracking, I have that sorted out. For recreating the story, that would take ages. I could easily do the heists and some other missions, but doing the entire story would involve recreating the entire map, something I'm not prepared to do.

Just do give you an idea of what the cars would look like, here's a 3D model I created a while back. When on an armorstand, I can make it so that it appears to drive down roads.

By your name up in the right-hand corner click "My Account" then click "Projects". It should be easy to see where to go from there. If you want to update a project, there will be a button labelled "Edit" on the page of your project.

Minecraft Relix, I must commend you on the longest surviving stolen project on PlanetMinecraft! Usually clearly stolen projects are reported and removed quickly, but somehow yours has survived! Not only that, but it has helped you level up as well!

I know that you claim that you alone, and not the entire staff of McParks, created the "original" map that you uploaded, however, the evidence is against you.

Also, go ahead and delete my post. The truth cannot be suppressed forever.

For tellraw some things changed in either 1.8 or 1.9; For example, when before you could use
/tellraw @p {text:"Hello World!",color:red}
you now have to do
/tellraw @p {"text":"Hello World!","color":red}
Or something like that.

I think the hardest part would be the custom trees. I'm imagining huge, monstrous trees with vines creeping down from their branches.

if you would like to build stuff like this of your own I suggest you use WorldPainter; it's perfect for what you want!

When you have the item in your hand, is it purple and black?
Also, what version are you using? The .json might not work depending on what version you are using. If you're working with 1.9 or newer this .json should work:

If you keep having problems I suggest looking at Mr. Crayfish's modding tutorials; they really helped me and I think they can help you too!

Help/JavaEdition How to create custom trees in 1.7.10?

Even though this tutorial is for Dimensions in 1.7.10, there is a small bit below on how to make custom trees. I haven't had to use it before, but I'm sure it will work just fine.

What kind of town? Modern, medieval, futuristic? I love writing horror stories, but have never finished a horror map, so I'd love to help.

If you make a model you can select the textures for all sides of the block, therefore, you could have one side with a knot in it.

What kind of resolution for the pack would you want? 16^2, 32^2, 64^2, 128^2, or 256^2? Also, do you just want stick and blaze-rods retextured or are you looking for a complete pack?

Thank you everyone for all the responses! I've decided to go ahead with the map. Since Snowy mentioned it being infringement if I use the IP without their consent, would it be a good idea to ask Rockstar themselves for the go-ahead? I assume they would not have a problem with it, since it is not for profit and will not be an exact copy of the game.
