@Zaralith Alright, that would be nice. I understand that having an automated system would let a lot less responsibility fall on the Mods (no offense). I'm sure you guys have many things to take care of on the website and having a Mod manually select themes and going through hundreds of files would take too much time.

@IronToastBot There is a planned feature to have 'daily' popularity decay over time, with a multiplier based on the number of days that an item has been popular (Cyprezz' example was first time it is 100-0 days * points, then 100-1, then 100-2, etc.)

Alien landscapes/settlements!
Arctic bases
Comic book cities (ie: Gotham)
Addams Family (mansion, skins, texture pack!)

... man, there's just so many things you could highlight, or set for a challenge.

The themes idea sounds good, but only if it shows the stuff that isn't already on the most popular, viewed, downloaded, etc.. Because unless you update everyday (IMO cheap tactic), or get lucky with the first day of posting it, texture packs fall into anonymity, never to be downloaded again.
Ah well, that's my rant for the week... day... hour...

I liek the idea. Like my idea of staff picks a while back but highlights is a better/less bias way of saying it. lol

My suggestions:
- Buildings/Skins from any (popular) movie
- Buildings/Skins from any (popular) computer game (except for MC )
- Landscapes (using MCEdit and World Painter)
- copy sights from the country you live
- medieval theme
- egyptian theme
- chinese theme
- western theme
- pixel art theme

These are just a few which came into my mind.
By the way, I like this idea of building challenge!
