Lost a level

About a week ago my level's XP reset back to 0
Not a huge deal but I had 18k out of 20k, so just wondering what happened :C

Taking a guest here but, here are some possible guesses on what could happen:
-Changing the .jar file of your minecraft to a snapshop or downgrading/upgrading it could result in a memory loss in your worlds.
-A sudden shutdown of your computer could result in a memory loss.
Thats all i really know about this topic. Hope it helps for futher use.
By the way, i dont think you can restore the levels, but if you have a back-up of the worlds you could back-up it up and restore it.
