I stay at two different houses, one during the week and one during the weekend. the weekday house has bedrock and the weekend house has java. if I want to play Minecraft during the week, I have to play bedrock. If I want to play during the weekend, I have to play java. And I must say, java edition is much better than bedrock edition.

Bedrock is optimised to run on less powerful computers (which phones fall under) at the cost of quality foundations, which is why it runs better on your laptop
This is also the reason bedrock is often called bugrock as the game foundations are more likely to break.
