Do you think Chainmail Armor should be craftable?

I just wanted to ask you guys for your opinion on the question in the title.
Do you think Chainmail Armor should be craftable?
And with that should its drop in structure chests be disabled/replaced?
I think armor uniquely found in chests in structures shouldn't really be something weaker than iron considering how common iron is and how structures aren't so common.
If there were tools or armor of material weaker than diamond and stronger than iron I think that would work way better. That's my personal opinion.
