Dark oak or spruce.

Spruce, Acacia!

Oak and spruce go amazing together, good for variation. Acacia fits in and dark oak too. Never been fond of jungle or birch but use them sometimes. Dark oak and birch go pretty well together. I guess it's just jungle that I don't really use.

Plain old oak is my favorite

But if we get mods involved, then maple wood from autumnity, by far.

Personally, I'm split between Spurce and Dark Oak. They both look very good, however I find that Dark Oak is considerably rarer than Spruce, which is a shame.

Oak is my second favourite, followed by Birch and Jungle. The only wood I'd personally say I hate is Acacia wood... it just looks off to me.

Birch used to be my personal favourite back when I played the PS3 version of Minecraft.

oak is useful for a lot of stuff
spruce and dark oak both go well together
acacia... is orange. but it can work with mostly gray builds.
jungle and acacia can work well together too

I used to prefer Dark Oak, but now I'm a Spruce person. :D It's a good middle and the other woods all look really nice with it. The same is not true for all woods.

i love spruce but my 2nd favourite is dark oak, and birch with oak are tied in the 3rd place, sometime is use jungle but i never really use acacia
