Is this a bug or something? i cant get it to go away
last time i checked, i shouldnt be able to see my taskbar at all. can someone help with this issue?

You should have a "Fn" button right next to the windows button. Hold it down and then press f11. That's one way to go fullscreen, if it doesn't work then try to press Alt+Enter.
it doesnt work for some reason, im not having a problem with the taskbar, its just that hideous white line at the top of the screen.
you're not in fullscreen mode, you've simply maximized the tab, click F11 and it should be fixed, if it isnt, then go into the settings > controls > key binds and scroll down until you find something called "toggle fullscreen" (or something along those lines), click the key it is binded to and it should be fixed. click it again to reverse it.
im playing minecraft on a levono laptop, so my F11 key just switches to the tabs i already have open

Maybe if you hide taskbar in settings(PC settings), it will not happen

looks like TL to me.. that is windowed max mode- settings in there somewhere for full screen.
