Java Edition is way harder than Bedrock Edition in most regards if your intention is to just play Vanilla. I would suggest you do research into mob drop rates and mechanics so you know the differences between the two versions. I would also recommend you look into how Redstone functions differently on Java Edition compared to Bedrock Edition due to quasi connectivity.
