If you want a chill server for you and a friend i would recomend an aternos.org server.
If you want a server that you are gonna play with lots of friends and for many hours, i would suggest minehut.
Now, if you want to make a server for minigames and kitpvp, then I wouldnt make a free one because it will crash every 2 seconds.

aternos.org or ploudos.com, they are completely free and serious and finance themselve by ads on the website

If your only going for a short time for only a few friends. try aternos.
if your talking about a long term server with more than 3 or 4 people, you don't make a free server.
look for budget hosting at least. 5 USD/ month can go a long way from how bad free server hosts are

3. use your newfound funding to open a returaunt
4. say that you need volunteers for a charity event
5. hire someone that is good with people and can handle a lot of plates
6. Now you have a server! (that's the kind of server you meant, right)
