I have an irrational fear of tornadoes. Of course tornadoes are typically seen as scary anyway but what makes my fear irrational is that if I hear of a storm system forecasted to come through my state (not even necessarily near me) my brain starts projecting that it will have a 100% chance of producing severe weather, and if it becomes severe that it will have a 100% chance of producing a tornado, and if a tornado develops then it doesn't matter where it is or which direction the system is moving because my brain has already decided that it is going to veer off its original course and come straight here.
