Is water wet?
This is not a joke, I'm serious.
There's the "Well water MAKES things wet, it's not wet itself" argument, but then I thought "Well if something is wet it has a coat of water particles on it, right? and water is just a bunch of water particles on top of each other. So is it wet?"
I'm not sure now. People, convince me to choose a side.

No, it is not! It's something with a thing in water mixed with air makes it wet or something.
I don't know exactly.

Water can't be wet because the definition of wet is "covered or saturated in water". However, water is not covered, nor saturated in water because water is water.
In conclusion, this question is a paradox that I'd like to call: The water adjective paradox.

a blanket can cover a blanket. why not cover water?
A single molecule of water is not wet, however the amount of water that we can see is lots of water molecules stacked on top of each other, which would make each molecule wet.
(i found the meme here)
Technically yes
💧
people who say it isnt are have wrong opinion
that is true, because i asked for an answer, not an opinion
yes they do
The definition of wet is to be covered in water. If it's covered in itself then it is wet.

It Depends On Your Answer

If water isn't wet then how would you describe it? Dry?
Also, it should be noted that things which do not contain water can also make things wet.

uh oh
because i'm stupid at science
i vote it's not wet
i vote it's not wet

I'd say it depends on what amount of water you're looking at. Can a single molecule of water be "wet"?
A single molecule is neither liquid nor solid nor gaseous but I'm pretty sure that something has to be liquid to be perceived as wet.

Well, it's difficult to say
One single H2O molecule is not wet, because there is no other water molecules on it. But a pool of water is trillions of H2O molecules touching eachother, meaning, each individual atom is wet from the others surrounding it. So, yes, I would say water is wet, because unless you're a chemist, the only water you will probably see is going to be surrounded by more.

Good question.
Yes, water is just a bunch of particles, but we have to look at what our definition of wet is. To me, wet is how large amounts particles of a specific consistency and quality feel when touching my nerve receptors, so I would say that yes, water is wet, no, a single or small amount of H2O molecules are not wet.
