i usually play bedwars so my biggest strat to avoid being 2v1'ed is:

1) get a ton of bed bugs. half of the bedwars players are dumb, so they'll have a hard time finding the silverfish

2) get diamonds for sharp/prot. if you upgrade prot more than once your opponents will be much weaker

3) strafe while you attack your opponents. half of the bedwars players, as i said before, are dumb. they usually don't know this trick

4) use an actual sword because no one likes axes and it's a fact. 1.13 is overrated leave me alone

5) actually play 1.8 because 1.9+ pvp is absolute trash

im normal, i just rush at people with a sword while strafing.

I like to use my bow and arrow, then run away until I find a good location where I have the advantage, like on a hill, so I can just keep knocking the other person down with my shots!
