I think they should tone it down a bit. The caves, cliffs and mountains are wayyyyy to common in my opinion. You can’t walk a single chunk without finding an entrance to a cave.

The new caves are incredible. Don't get me wrong, the mountains are awesome too. But when I spectate in the new cave generation and see just how far down it goes, I just know it's going to be amazing in survival.
Well it's gonna be amazing until you try build a starter base.
