I was working on a texture pack, and I wanted to make certain parts of a pressure plate transparent. I added the transparent pixels to the .png file for the pressure plate and tested out the pack in Minecraft. The parts I tried to make transparent were transparent in my inventory, but when I placed the pressure plate on the ground, the transparent parts showed up as black. Is there a way to make the pixels show up as transparent, or is it impossible to do so on a block with an opaque original texture, such as a pressure plate?
