Think this way: If you're shading, what spots are going to be "covered" and not exposed to light? The insides of arms, legs, and top and bottom of the body. Shade those areas darker, and shade areas like the outsides of the legs and arms lighter I would recommend looking at some more popular skinners' skins to see what I mean

Use less aggressive shading, and try and making your shading techniques more minimalistic.
