WWOO Islands Worldgen is an addon for William Wythers Overhauled Overworld, which changes the generation of the world to islands using WWOO biomes. 5 worldgen intensity available.

This datapack is an ADDON, it requires the main worldgen pack (see links in the page)

Installation :

Download this datapack.
Download the official world generation datapack William Wythers Overhauled Overworld (from WilliamWythers).
Create a new world and drag the 2 datapacks.
Place the islands datapack on top.
Create the world!

Issue / Bug

Spawn in the void/air
With the low island intensity, the world spawn may be wrong. Place yourself on an islands in creative/spectator gamemode and use /setworldspawn to fix the problem.

would it be possible to limit world size (like in alpha versions) but still have everything required to beat the game? (lava, ender portal..)

no, I meant literally the world being small, like maybe a couple hundred or thousand blocks and instead of a world border that just cuts me off from the rest of the world, the world is just surrounded by void in all 4 directions. kinda how skyblock is a single tiny island in the emptiness, but this wouldn't be so tiny, instead like maybe 2000x2000

Official WWOO has been entirely rewritten last month, it broke this pack.
