When the Warden and the Deep Dark was released, I'd decided to make a data pack that adds some interesting mechanics to how defeating the Warden, such as a tiny souls-based magic system. I stopped working on it (for quite some time), but I'm back now.Heres how it works:
Once you defeat the Warden, you gain three souls (because it has three souls in its chest cavity)
You can turn these souls into things such as magical weapons or permanent boosts to the player
And some other secret stuff!
So far there is the Soulinomicon, three things you can craft with the Soulinomicon, loot for the Warden, and soul absorption.
Crafting of Soulinomicon
1 Book and Quill, 1 Soul Sand, and 1 Lapis Lazuli
Soul Requirements for Crafting
Hide of Souls (+4 Natural Armor) - 2 Souls
Soul Blade (Can steal life-force from defeated enemies) - 3 Souls
Bottled Soul - 1 Soul, 1 Glass Bottle
Soul Blade (Can steal life-force from defeated enemies) - 3 Souls
Bottled Soul - 1 Soul, 1 Glass Bottle

Added Bottled Soul, which right now does nothing other than store a soul.

Now that I think about it, it might have just been some poor formatting in the files. Might pick it up again, 'cuz I had some neat ideas for its future!
