Rainbeau's Village Banners

Occupational Pennants for Vanilla NPC Town Buildings

(A Data Pack for Minecraft 1.19, 1.19.1 & 1.19.2)

This is a pretty simple data pack. What it does is add "profession banners" to vanilla village buildings. Armorer's shops now display banners featuring a suit of armor, butcher shops display banners featuring a meat cleaver, temples display banners featuring a potion bottle, and so forth.

I use the banners in my various new village data packs, and decided it'd be fun to add them to vanilla villages, too.

"Village Banners" should be compatible with pretty much anything that doesn't also alter vanilla village structures.

CREDITS: I found most of the banner designs on Reddit or on Planet Minecraft. I altered some to suit my tastes, but others were used just as I found them.

Does it work on already existing worlds?

Yes, you can add the data pack to an existing world. Obviously, it won't alter villages you've already discovered, but as you explore new areas of the world, villages you find there will have banners.

OMG! I noticed the banners in your villages and have always wished something like this was in vanilla. I use frames with appropriate station blocks when I can be bothered, but it's still "work" and much less visible, this has been needed for so long.
Thanks so much!

Is this compatible with flying villages?

This pack doesn't alter non-vanilla villages in any way. However, my flying, floating and undersea village data packs all already utilize the same banners that this pack adds to vanilla villages. So, yes, this pack and "Flying Villages" are compatible both in the literal sense that you can use both packs at the same time and in the aesthetic sense that flying and land-based villages will all display the same profession banners on buildings.

So the banners are already in there without need to install this pack?

Love this! Do we know if these work with Towns and Towers or CTOV? I'd love to also see these banners added to Terralith villages if possible (and if you're interested in work like this).
Regardless, this is so nice. Banners are criminally underutilized.

I'm afraid all this pack does is modify *vanilla* village buildings. In order for it to put banners on buildings added by other data packs or mods, I'd need to add modified structure files of those buildings to the pack, and given how many other data packs and mods add buildings, that could get overwhelming very quickly.
