No Creeper Grief V.3
No blocks griefing, still damage entities
From Minecraft 1.17 to 1.20.6

What is No Creeper Grief?

This is my shot among very popular no-mob-grief-like data packs you can find on the web.
Difference with this one is that creepers will still damage entities when they blast, but won't break blocks anymore.
Most of other data packs just completely cancel creepers explosions.

Broken in 1.20.2, creeper does no damage and instead creates a large area effect cloud of luck potion

Hi, yes, almost no data pack, plugin or mod would be compatible with both 1.20.4 and 1.20.5.
I need to update them all, but I'm currently working on that.
Since I'm migrating my content on Modrinth and it takes time for them to validate them, you can join my Discord server to try beta versions of my data packs for 1.20.5.

Hi,
Indeed the syntax for effects of AEC and mobs have changed on MC 1.20.2.
This has been fixed in the V.2.0.4 version of the data pack.

Just turn off mob griefing in the settings.

If you do that, it will:
- Prevent villagers to work
- Prevent creepers and ghast to deal damage to entities
- Prevent endermen to grief terrain
- Probably other thing you don't want to have

That the whole point of the data pack to avoid such things.

Oh, things are different on Bedrock, except for the endermen one.

Probably 🤷‍♂️, I don't know at all about BE, but they should share the same rules theoretically. Here is the whole description from the wiki concerning both versions:
Whether creepers, zombies, endermen, ghasts, withers, ender dragons, rabbits, sheep, villagers, silverfish, snow golems, and end crystals should be able to change blocks, and whether mobs can pick up items. When mobGriefing is disabled, piglins do not pick up gold ingots, but a player can still barter with them by using the item on the mob. Similarly, villagers do not pick up food items but can still breed until they run out of any food already in their inventory. This also affects the capability of zombie-like creatures like zombified piglins and drowned to pathfind to turtle eggs.
