It has been some time, hasn't it! I am back again with another datapack! This datapack is a special one though, because this datapack works with another very popular mod called Oh, the Biomes you'll Go!, which adds new biomes to minecraft. With this datapack, 4 new mobs made after some of the biomes in that mod will spawn in your world!

What are these mobs? Well, allow me to tell you about them!

Destrier of the Sythian Torrids

This mob is a special variant of the Horse, which has very powerful stats to boot! It can jump up 5 blocks, and even though it is slower than your average horse, it is way tougher! It also is another means of getting leather in the nether, which is always a plus. Sometimes these mobs spawn with Piglins riding them!

Spawns - Anywhere in the Sythian Torrids biome

Sythian Hornet of the Sythian Torrids

A relatively common bee variant, the Sythian Hornet is a special mob indeed! These bees love to hang out on the ceiling and inside ceiling crevices as well. It always drops a Gold Ingot, so it is a good idea to get your fill of gold ingots from hunting these! But be careful, they have infinite stings, are tougher in health, and are almost never found alone. Fight with Caution!

Spawns - Anywhere in the Sythian Torrids

Berg of the Subzero Hypogeal

A sturdy turtle-like mob, these creatures typically walk slowly along the cold paths of the biome. They are resistant to any attacks that are shot at a distance, so you must get up close in order to damage this guy. The Berg has a terrible bite and can roar you away, so make sure you are prepared to fight one! If you manage to defeat one, you could get your hands on some Blue Ice, for bridge-making and basalt generating!

Spawns - Anywhere in the Subzero Hypogeal

Geoderm of the Quartz Desert

A rhinoceros-like mob, it wanders the treacherous sands of the biome, feeding on the quartz crystals that go there. It packs quite the punch, but if you kill it, you could get yourself an entire quartz block! If you lead one, however, you could use its crystal-chomping ability to clear a path through the sharp crystals that dot the biome!

Spawns - Anywhere in the Quartz Desert

Glad to be making datapacks again! This datapack requires Optifine and Oh The Biomes You'll Go to function, so make sure to pick them up before downloading this datapack! Some of the mobs have their own custom sounds and models to make them feel right at home with the other mobs in minecraft!

Enjoy!

Will you add other mobs to the other BYG biomes? For example the Nightshade Forest or the Weeping Mire?
