--------------------==[[ Minecraft: Timesteal ]]==--------------------
This datapack is a unique take on the popular Lifesteal formula.
Every player has a set amount of "Time" (starting at 24 hours).
This time ticks down, so after playing for 2 hours you'd be at 22 hours left.
If you run out of time, you are banned and cannot play on the world any more.
However, whenever a player dies they drop a Time Vial, which contains
2 hours of extra time. Picking up a Time Vial automatically uses it, granting
you extra time. This means you can steal time from other players!
One last thing, if you collect enough rare materials, you can craft a Repeating
Command Block. The general idea of this is that you are powerful enough to
"glitch" the server, causing you to corrupt (removing the command block) and
letting you choose any banned player to REVIVE. You'll need their Player ID, which
only they can access, so you can't revive players who don't want to be revived.
{ note: a player must be online for you to revive them }
This datapack should be compatible with most other datapacks, and OptiFine is recommended but not required.
It may not be compatible with other datapacks that are named "Timesteal" or "PlayerID."
It may also not work with datapacks that send messages in the /title actionBar slot, or the scoreboard display belowName slot.
You can change some of the values used by the datapack by opening the .zip file and editing the code.
Change the amount of time players start with:
Navigate to "Timesteal/data/timesteal/functions/tick.mcfunction"
On line 2, change the "86400" to the amount of seconds new players should start with
Change the amount of time players steal / lose on death:
Navigate to "Timesteal/data/timesteal/functions"
In "droptime.mcfunction" on line 5, change "7200" to the amount of seconds you want
In "tick.mcfunction" on line 26, change "7200" to the amount of seconds you want
To uninstall the datapack, run /function timesteal:uninstall
Then, remove the datapack from the datapacks folder of your world, and run /reload
