Then, it settled. Settled down, floating onto the island - the chorus coming with it. And as it shone through the darkness - the whispers of the old ones traversing the airless space - it bulged and squirmed. For the energy that lifted it up had now returned. Sucked back to the light. It was trying to escape.
The energy spread, shining brighter, loud, eerie noises traversing space as the whispers did. More, it demanded.
