Add hitmarkers to Minecraft! Whenever you hit a mob, target block, or player with melee or range, a hitmarker will pop up to show that you hit them successfully! You can customize the hitmarker's color, sound, and when it appears! Singleplayer and Multiplayer compatible!

2. Move the datapack to your world's datapack folder.

Damage types that cause hitmarkers:
- Arrows (Includes: Fire Arrows, Spectral Arrows, and Tipped Arrows)
- Eggs
- Enderpearls
- Firework Rockets (That explode)
- Fishing Rod hook (When reeling in)
- Lingering Potions (Their Area Effect Cloud, if they cause damage)
- Melee
- Snowballs
- Splash Potions (That cause damage)
- Tridents
- Eggs
- Enderpearls

- Added support for newer versions. Fixed "Ranged only" not working in 1.19.4+.
- Added support for the following damage types to cause hitmarkers: Fishing Hooks (when reeling in), Firework Rockets (that explode), Lingering Potions (their Area Effect Clouds, if they cause damage), and Splash Potions (that cause damage). These are all classified under the Ranged attack category.
- Added Rainbow hitmarker option.
- Added Arrow Hit Player sound option.
- Fixed the death hitmarker not resetting when pressing the "Defaults" button.
- Fixed the Skull death hitmarker appearing broken in 1.14.0 when using Minecraft's Programmer Art resource pack.

I think something too many happening in tick event(_loops.mcfunction).
tested at JAVA 1.17 release version, new world with only this datapack
The datapack shouldn't be blocking any commands from working, it does block output/feedback from commands from displaying in chat however (to prevent the config from spamming your chat). You can re-enable command feedback by doing:
/gamerule sendCommandFeedback true
Alternatively, you can permanently prevent the datapack from disabling command feedback by going into "/data/hitmarkers/functions/setup.mcfunction" and deleting the "gamerule sendCommandFeedback false" line.I might change it later to not change the sendCommandFeedback gamerule or have a way to configure it...
I couldn't reproduce /trigger mchm_config showing nothing on 1.17 though, was it on a server?
