Except the part where the world is reset, I just remember you respawning somewhere really random.
on overworld is ok
on nether at second respawn is on overworld
on end should be always on end

Second I think there is a bug.
So to be safe I tried it in a new world on 1.19 ver without any additional mods or datapacks,
and it turns out that when I'm in the nether, when I dies, I re-appear on the top of the bedrock layer.
Tried it both on the server and on single player and this behavior persists.
