This datapack is an addition to another datapack that I am developing and updating since 2022: Vein Mining Datapack
For those who don't know it, I explain that datapack adds a powerful tool that allows you to destroy entire veins of ores of many minerals, as long as they touch corners.
This datapack does the same thing but only with amethyst blocks. Why didn't I add the ability to destroy amethyst to that main datapack? Because it's a powerful tool, and a powerful tool can hurt you. Imagine: you were mining ores with "my" pickaxe and suddenly you came across a beautiful geode. Suppose you wanted to remove only that one block of amethyst that was spoiling the beautiful view of the geode. Or you only wanted to take a few blocks with you. You grab the pickaxe with which you were mining ores and... it happened. You got rid of a beautiful geode in one hit, just like in the video above.
Therefore, to deliberately clean the geode of amethyst blocks and leave only Budding amethyst blocks, you need to have a separate tool just for such occasion. Let it lie at the bottom of the Ender Chest and wait for its turn. E.g. when you want to make a farm of Amethyst clusters or you need a huge amount of amethyst blocks for your project. Or you want to build amethyst beacon: Amethyst Beacon
Of course you can use this datapack without having to install Vein Mining Datapack. It just will only work with amethyst blocks
You can also, if you already have the Mineral Massacre pickaxe from the main datapack, add the Amethyst Massacre enchantment from this datapack. Or if you already have Amethyst Massacre pickaxe, you can additionally enchant Mineral Massacre. But I advise against it, for the reasons I mentioned above.
How to get such a tool? Like in the main datapack:
Drop a block of redstone and an iron/diamond/netherite pick on top of an enchantment table while you have 10 levels to enchant. In case of problems there is a tutorial video in the comments to the main datapack. Remember: this time you're using a Redstone block. Pickaxe can be Mending, Unbreaking, whatever.
I encourage you to check out other datapacks that I have published:
